Privacy Policy

AHF47 Motor Club ("AHF47", "we", "us") runs the website at https://ahf47.in and its API at https://api.ahf47.in. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have. We handle your data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

Account details. Your name and email address. There are no passwords: you sign in with a one-time code we email you, or with Google. Codes are stored only as a one-way hash for ten minutes. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier, and only when Google confirms the email is verified. We never receive your Google password.

Profile details you choose to add. Phone number, city, a short bio, a public handle, your vehicles (type, make, model and, if you add it, registration number) and an emergency contact (name, phone number and relationship). Each part of your profile has its own visibility setting, and details are private unless you make them public.

What you post. Articles, ride logs (route, distance, date, vehicle and photos), comments, Respect on posts, riders you follow and the riders who follow you, and any reports you make. Posts and comments are shown publicly under your name. Your handle and profile are shown only if you turn your public profile on.

Activity. Which rides and events you tell us you're going to.

Technical data. Your IP address, browser type and request identifiers appear in server logs so we can secure the service and fix faults. We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Your device. The cart and your light or dark theme choice are kept in your browser's local storage on your device. We do not receive them.

Why we use it

• To create and run your account and sign you in.
• To show organisers who is coming to a ride or event, and to send messages about it.
• To publish what you post, and to let admins review posts and handle reports. Admins can read drafts and posts waiting for review.
• To keep riders safe. Your emergency contact is used only if something goes wrong at an event you attend.
• To send club news by email, only if you opted in. You can turn that off at any time in your account settings.
• To protect the service against abuse and to meet legal obligations.

Who handles data for us

We do not sell your data. These providers process it on our behalf:

• Google, for sign-in with Google, if you use it.
• Cloudinary, which stores and serves images you or the club upload.
• Resend, which delivers our emails.
• Our hosting, which runs on infrastructure operated by the club.

We may also share information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open. Posts and comments stay until you delete them or your account. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data and remove your posts and comments, except records we must keep for legal reasons, and security audit records that do not carry your profile content.

Your choices

You can view and edit your details, control what is visible on your public profile, opt out of club emails, and ask us to delete your account. To exercise any right, or to raise a concern, write to us at the address below. If we do not resolve your concern, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

AHF47 is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell members by email.
